Prisoners are people with much diversity, different backgrounds, wishes and needs who by having criminal convictions, have received a stigma from society: a stigma of disgrace may continue even after the end of imprisonment.
A tendency in society and in the public debate is that convicts hold an inferior position and differ significantly from the rest of the population. By letting convicts choose the focus from their biographical material, the audience is challenged to see what those who work with prisoners may experience in their everyday work: that convicts are more than their worst actions. The ARR-project is intended to give those who have been convicted of criminal offences the opportunity to voluntarily show something of themselves by having a direct voice to the audience.
